An arborist is a trained professional knowledgeable about tree physiology and biology. Arborists are trained and equipped to properly care for trees and the urban forest. They practice arboriculture, which is the cultivation, art and science, and management of individual trees.

What does TPZ mean?
Tree Protection Zone The area of tree roots that would be best protected during construction is also known as the drip line. This area is determined by the trunk size (DBH).
What does MTPZ mean?
The Minimum Tree Protection Zone (MTPZ) is the area of a tree protection zone that should be avoided if there is going to be construction around the tree.
What Does DBH mean?
Diameter at breast height (DBH) is a standard method of expressing the diameter of the trunk or bole of a standing tree. DBH is one of the most common dendrometry measurements.
Tree trunks are measured at the height of an adult's breast, which is defined differently in different countries and situations. DBH is measured at approximately 1.4m (4.3ft) above ground in many countries.
